Mineral
In this lab, I learn how to identify the minerals physical properties. Such as luster, hardness, color and cleavage. In order to test the luster, we should look at the mineral, if looks like metal and shining, it's metallic, otherwise it is non metallic. If we want to know how hardness is the mineral, we need to use glass plate, if the mineral can scratch the glass, that can be harder than 5.5, if not, it is less than 5.5. To test the color we have to use streak plate, to scratch the plate to see it is color or colorless( white). If the mineral can cut evenly, that is cleavage, if cut unevenly, then it is fracture.
1. What did you enjoy most about this project and why?
I enjoy work with my partner when we are test the minerals.
2. What was most challenging for you during this project and why?
I have hard time to write the 3 paragraph about background info, and I have to use my own word.
3. What new skills did you learn from doing this project?
I learn how to use glass plate and streak plate to test the minerals.
4. Is there anything that you could have done to improve any of your work? Explain.
If their is more time, I would spent more time to write my report and make better, also add more info and help Ali to make the video.

Summary:
Tsunamis
A Tsunamis is a harbor wave. The subduction zones are the most mommon cause of Tsunamis, when the continental plate and oceanic plate hit eachother. Also earthquake does too, the earthquake break the ocean floor up and down, the ocean lose blance, cand cause tsunamis. It is very damage to the people and building, the enconmic will lose a lot of money.
Earthquake
The earthquake is strong movement of earth's crust. It cause by movement of the fault, sometime they slide apart, slide together, or slide past one to the other. Earthquake also cause 3 types of waves, P waves is fastest, S wave is slower, and L wave is surface wave, the most dangerous one, it can knock the building, destroyed everything.
Crust
Crust moving cause of plate tectonics, the crust is top of the layer, the mantle is inside of the earth layer, the inner core is soild and the outer core is liquid.
Plate Boundaries
Convergent goes together, this movement cause mountain form. Divergent pull apart, this movement cause rift valley. Transform slide eachother, this movement cause earthquake.

Faults
Their are 3 types of faults, which is Normal Faults, Reverse Faults and Strike- Slip Faults. Normal faults is one piece goes down. Reverse Fault is one piece rise up. Strike - Slip Fault are two pieces slide side by silde, is most dangerous one, it cause earthquake.
Volanoes
Formation of volcanoes they form when the earth's inside pressure bring up the hot melten rocks and releases them through the path. Magma is the melted rock under the surface. Lava is the melted roce above the surface. Their are 3 types of volanoes. Shield is volanic cone made up of layer of hardened lave. Cinder Cone is volcanic cone made up of rock particles, dust and ash. Composite is volcanic cone made up of alternating layers of lava and rock particles. Hot spots is a part of the mantles is really hot.
Mantle

Summary: Ring of Fire came from pacific plate, where did the most hot spot are appear around this palte. Also the earthquake and volcanoes activity most occur in the pacific palte, their is many palte boundary.
Critical Thinking Question
Do you agree with the theory of plate tectonics? Why or why not?
I agree with the theory of plate tectonics, I believe the pangaea broke into many plate and separate around the world we see today. In fact, Scientist find out the continent is move little bit over the year.
Also when see all the contine are fit together, just like a puzzle, and scientist find the fossil also provide that the continent are stick together as one.

I enjoy most when I'm doing the lab, it's really intersting.
2. What was most challenging for you during this project and why?
The challenging was we don't have too much time to finish the project, because we only have 3 earth science class a week, also it's hard to manage the time.

I learned how to find the longitude in the map, I never learn this before.
4. Is there anything that you could have done to improve any of your work? Explain.
I would like to spent more time on the lab, and learn more.

Spring tide is when the sun, earth and moon are in the same line, the water level are highest and lowest, the phase of moon is new moon and full moon phase. Neap tide is when the sun, earth and moon are in an angel, the water level is equal, the phase of moon is first quarter and last quarter.

The most chllenging for me is when we are practice the video, because we spent a lot more time on practice until we have tacit, then we start making a video.

In this project, I learn how to write the narrtion, which is my first time I doing, I've never done this before, but finally I finish that, I think I do pretty on it.
4. Is there anything that you could have done to improve any of your work? Explain.
If I have time, I will help Ali to make our video better, our video is little bit bored, because our topic is very short, so I will make back ground, and put some music to make it better.

Geologic Time- Cretaceous
Cretaceous it happen 144 to 65 million years ago, during this period, many dinosaurs, plants, birds, ocean survivor maine reptiles, ammonites, and the thick shell clam are appear. Cretaceous's climate are very warm the global sea level were high( NO POLAR ICE). The cretaceous period were ended by ASTEROID, many species are dead( Except for birds).
1. What did you enjoy most about this project?
I enjoy when I doing the video, because this is my first time I'm doing the video, so excited, and I proud of myself.
2. What was most challenging about this project? Why?
I think most challenging about this project is when I wrote the text for the picture, sometime the picture's name is too long, and I could not put full name on it, so I have to summarize name.
3.What you change about ths project and why?
I would to change that we don't have to do reference, because it takes long time, some time I just forgot to take reference, don't I have to go back and check time, it really waste my time.
4.What are 3 things that you learned from this project?
I learn this period happen 144 to 65 million years ago, during this period many dinosaurs, plant, birds, ocean survivor maine reptiles etc are appear. Also the the cretaceous period were ended by asteroid.
